I’d seen this recently online, but this column by Jon Mark Beilue: A real kick in the gut is right on target. Amazing. This is nuts and a sign of just how bad some parents can be to their children. In a time when parents are supposed to be raising up their kids, teaching them about wrong and right, we’ve got some out there who think we ought to put them in a cage and go at it for competition. John McCain is right. This is human cockfighting, and any parent who’d let their kid do this ought to have a thorough review by their state’s Child Protective Services.

Kids only lose ‘Ultimate’ fight

Apparently Little League, soccer and Cub Scouts aren’t sufficient to mold young minds and bodies in after-school activities. There needs to be more.So what’s a kid to do? Well, how about sucker-punching a fellow 6-year-old. Maybe knee a young lad in the face. Get them to tap out and go off crying in the corner.

It was bound to happen. Ultimate Fighting, the new hot sport, has trickled down to the SpongeBob set.
