Something to think about with sick children...Out of the 68.8 percent of U.S. households that are considered “family households” – which describes households with children – 1.9 percent are headed by single fathers. In cases where other adults, such as a non-custodial parent, grandparents or other extended family members are involved in raising children, it is important that critical information, such as medication and dosage information, be easy to maintain, share and access, especially in the case of an emergency. MedsFile.com, a personal, private and secure Web-based database for managing medication and dosage information, and other medical information, can be a useful tool for such families. For more information, visit www.medsfile.com.

Yes, I completely agree. When I first started http://www.dad-eblog.com last year, I thought it would be cool to post photos, names, etc about my family. But as time went on and I started getting some seriously filthy spam on the site, I realized that there are a lot of hard core weirdos browsing around on my site, and I frankly don't want them taking my kid's pictures and doing weird things with them. I also don't want them learning too much about my personal information for obvious identify theft related reasons.

So now I just post about "my oldest daughter" or "my youngest son" and keep it generic. It's a lot more important to me to protect my family than score points online.

The little otters at my house talk more and more of the pool each week. Now that they have figured out the Natatorium is open year round doesn't help either. It's a bit of a hassle, but a few trips to a natatorium might get you by. Mommy otter will begin her weekly poolside get-togethers once school is out. She opens our HOA pool to friends who often say things like "I don't know how I'd make it through the summer without bringing the kids to your pool!"

Your biggest headache may be the spring showers filling up the hole in the yard. FYI, koi fish are pretty economical...
